Bowen therapy

Bowtech, the original Bowen technique, is a holistic approach to pain relief.

It is a ‘hands-on’, ‘hands-off’ treatment that consists of rolling type moves over muscles, tendons, ligaments or nerves. These gentle moves are working on the fascia that surrounds muscles and organs, resetting the nervous system to ‘rest, relax, and repair mode’ enabling the body to correct dysfunctions and restore balance.

A bowtech ‘session’ involves one or more ‘procedures’, each of which consists of several sets of moves that requires a break where the therapist will move away from the client allowing time for the moves to integrate into the body. During this time the moves have stimulated a vibration or physical signal that is sent to the brain for processing. The brain then determines what has happened and decides on the course of action it will take to restore balance back to the body.

Results can be significant. Even from the first session helping with pain relief and relaxation. It is a gentle technique that can be done through light clothing and is appropriate for everyone from pregnant women to newborn babies, and the elderly.
